The goal of this recruitment is to fill this position at a Business Operations Supervisor 2 level. However, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for a Business Operations Supervisor 1 to apply, as we may consider underfilling the position until the selected candidate meets the minimum qualifications for the Business Operations Supervisor 2. Underfill training will not exceed three years.
We’re seeking a Delivery Services Manager to lead our Mail and Delivery unit. In this role, you’ll supervise and inspire a team of dedicated staff, ensure operational excellence, and provide exceptional service to our customers. This is your chance to make a tangible impact by enhancing service delivery, streamlining workflows, and driving innovative solutions for government operations.
Duties include:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team while fostering an inclusive workplace. Set clear goals, evaluate performance, and develop employees for success.
- Oversee mail processing, shipping, receiving, and delivery operations to ensure timely, secure, and cost-effective services.
- Act as the primary contact for customer agencies, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and advocating for service enhancements.
- Monitor operations, track metrics, and develop strategic plans to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Promote safety protocols, ensure compliance with security standards, and maintain confidentiality for sensitive materials.
- Support budget planning, manage expenditures, and oversee inventory to align resources with program goals.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Business Operations Supervisor 2 ($5,763 - $8,920)
Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR one year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Business Operations Supervisor 1 ($4,749 - $7,353)
Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Desired Attributes:
- Proven experience managing teams, including training, supervising, and motivating staff to achieve and maintain high performance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Evidence of implementing systems or processes to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through engagement with diverse internal and external partners.
- Ability to identify operational challenges and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in shuttle delivery operations, including route planning, vehicle maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Preference:
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience in Publishing & Distribution programs for the state of Oregon.
