Considerable knowledge of office procedures, medical terminology, timekeeping, scheduling, and computer technology. Skills in Microsoft Office and excel. Ability to organize work, set priorities and work independently. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors to the department. Demonstrated ability in maintaining smooth workflow of office activities, ability to relate to programs, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills along with the ability to problem resolution.
Additional Considerations
Post high school business courses including computer training and office management courses.
Expert typing skills including data entry and working knowledge of computer technology. Previous work experience in managing the operations within an office and working with others in medical/hospital setting.

- Answers inquiries concerning office procedures.
- Relieves the Quality Director of various details associated with scheduling of appointments, providing materials for meetings, preparing inter-office and intra-office memorandums which requires a working knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures.
- Serves as receptionist for Clinical Services Department, greeting visitors, providing information, receiving, and making telephone calls pertaining to a wide variety of issues. Screens telephone calls and visitors.
- Informs Clinical Director and Department Heads of Clinical Services Departments of any urgent calls or information received which requires immediate attention.
