Job Duties
Training Delivery & Support
- Maintains certification and teaches Therapeutic Options and CPR
- Provides instruction for designation sessions in New Employee Orientation, along with senior employees
- Monitors progression of new employee orientation sessions to ensure instructor and student schedule adherence
- Assists new and existing staff with accessing the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center (CoVLC) and completing online learning requirements
- Maintains the supplies, equipment, and organization of the training classroom as assigned
- Oversees scheduling, set-up, take-down, and use of training classroom
- Develops and/or updates the agency flyer, electronic information bulletin, training bulletin boards, and training website by departmental designated timeline
- Maintains accurate records on all employees, including but not limited to attendance records, schedules, support requests, and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content and exam pass rates
- Manages the filing needs of the department, including employee training, DSP, CPR records, TO, and any other information given to the Training Department regarding education and training
- Maintains a positive attitude and encouraging demeanor when supporting staff and patients
- Proactive in anticipating work that needs to be done within the Training Department and demonstrates the ability to work independently
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and openness to receiving and seeking feedback
- Champions Training Department team and initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and use of Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to update spreadsheets and apply formulas using Microsoft Excel
- Ability to deliver training to audiences of various sizes
- Ability to self-motivate with a willingness to learn and display a positive attitude to champion training initiatives
- Willingness and ability to work all shifts, as required
