The Department of Fish and Wildlife's Northern Region is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Administrative Officer II in the Administrative Support Unit. Under the supervision of the Administrative Officer III, the Administrative Officer II has primary responsibility for all business services functions including procurement, contracts and asset management. The Administrative Officer II also oversees Accounts Payable, License Sales and Correspondence through subordinate supervisors. This is a great opportunity to utilize business acumen for the benefit of the natural resources. Working Conditions

The work involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing; daily use of a keyboard, mouse, computer, and phone. Occasional day travel to other offices to meet with indirect reports, attend meetings, oversee asset tasks, or to verify physical inventory may be required. Occasional overnight travel for two nights. A valid Driver’s License is required to drive State vehicles.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide complex information in clear terms.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Lists, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams or similar programs.
Proven organizational skills to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Acute attention to detail in document review and performing repetitive tasks.
Knowledge of State laws, policies and systems including the State Administrative Manual, State Contracting Manuals, and FI$CAL. Ability to follow established procedures.
Customer Service experience including working with members of the public with professionalism and tact.
Experience working in cross-functional teams to streamline procedures and problem solve administrative issues.
