What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST position at Department of Fish and Wildlife?
Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) in the Federal Unit, the Associate Accounting Analyst analyzes the more complex accounting data and performs accounting work associated with the establishment and maintenance of the Federal Trust Fund (FTF) accounts and records for the Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). Performs all work in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ASB policies and procedures, Department of Finance (DOF) rules and regulations, and state and federal laws.
In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer eligible or take and pass the following exam.
During this 12-month Limited Term assignment, you will receive full health, dental, and vision benefits! You will also earn State Service and accrue monthly leave credits.

Working Conditions
Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings via private or public transportation; work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Position is located in a high-rise building. Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods. Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone. Standard office environment. Overtime may be required and time-off may not be granted during the year-end Financial Statement and Federal grant closing periods. Position may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule depending on operational needs.
This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Accrual Credit.
