About the Role:
As an Accounting Officer (Specialist) at OFS, you will be responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting duties in the establishment and maintenance of accounts and records. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Reconciling and analyzing financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Providing support for audits and coordinating with auditors.
- Maintaining and updating financial records in the accounting system.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in professional accounting work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of state government accounting practices is a plus.
