Job Summary
The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Dentist to fill the Supervisory Dentist position in our Dental Clinic. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dental program, including supervising dentists, hygienists, and assistants, as well as participating in budget development and quality assurance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day clinical functions of the dental clinic
- Manage work schedules of subordinate staff
- Participate in personnel matters, including staffing plans, recruiting, and hiring
- Assist dental providers in developing and maintaining quality assurance programs
- Orient new staff members on infection control procedures
- Administer local anesthesia and perform routine and complex tooth extractions
Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution and a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state or territory of the United States. Additionally, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience in coordinating clinical functions, managing staff, and participating in quality assurance initiatives.
