Job Description: As a Detainee Medical Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to detainees in our facilities.
Responsibilities include performing comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures as required by IHSC policy.
Additionally, you will coordinate health care needs of detainees including referrals to off-site consultants and take appropriate infection control actions in accordance with IHSC policy and guidance.
Required qualifications include experience working in correctional healthcare, licensure by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United States, and national board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (APRN) or the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
