I If you possess expertise in the receipt, storage, security, shipment, inventory, and recordkeeping, consider taking on a key role on our team as a Logistics Coordinator (Supply Specialist 2) on the Facilities Administration team for the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS).
Summary of Duties
As a Logistics Coordinator (Supply Specialist 2) you will:
- Perform warehousing functions and maintenance related duties for furniture, equipment, tools, and property.
- Maintains appropriate inventory for each type of item through electronic inventory management system, provides accessibility to products, and maintains multiple warehouses in safe and orderly conditions.
- Fulfills orders from facility coordinators for office and systems furniture product requires for DHS and OHA offices statewide.
- Verify items requested are available in electronic inventory.
- Pulls specified count of product and components, palletizes product and/or loads carts for vehicle transport.
- Prioritizes and completes order requests by project timeline.
- Provides assistance and expertise about product and installation, offers alternative solutions for product deficiencies when needed.
- Receives returning product, receive and inspect items to determine the condition of items and quantity received. Sort and palletize and organize furniture to return to inventory. Updates the electronic inventory.
- Repair systems furniture components as needed using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Dispose of obsolete and excess items by inspecting property to determine item’s condition for use, coordinates surplus disposition and updates electronic inventory system.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience with inventory and project inventory requirements.
- Experience communicating orally with a wide variety of people answering questions and gathering and exchanging information.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable as work assignments can vary by request and environment conditions.
- Experience with basic computer software skills.

Working Conditions
- Position is located in Salem, OR and is full time warehouse setting.
- Employee may have to perform important projects under tight timelines.
- Employee may travel occasionally to field offices across the State of Oregon.
- Overnight travel may be required. After hours and weekend works on an intermittent basis.
- Employee must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Valid Oregon Drivers license is required.
