We are seeking an office specialist 2 to join our Child Welfare team in Beaverton on a limited duration basis. This position will end on 8/6/2024 and is a fully in-office position. What you need to qualify: Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents. OR An associate degree. OR Graduation from a private school of business with a certificate AND one year of general clerical experience. Essential attributes: We are looking for candidates with: Experience producing written documents that are accurate, easily-understandable, and have minimal spelling and grammar errors. Experience providing customer service, including through the use of a multi-line phone. Experience explaining rules and procedures to a wide variety of people. Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. The ability to professionally resolve conflicts with clients or customers. In this role, you will answer phones, direct calls, greet visitors, and process outgoing and incoming mail. You will keep the daily meeting board updated, disperse bus passes, enter services for payment, prepare and sign time sheets, and maintain a current desk manual. You will also support Child Welfare staff and ensure the smooth flow of necessary and confidential documents to support caseworkers in completing their assignments.
