PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER II/NORTH COAST REDWOODS/REDWOOD COAST/PRAIRIE CREEK REDWOODS STATE PARK
This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.
The incumbent’s work schedule will be 07:00AM to 05:30PM from Monday to Thursday.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Working Conditions
- Work Environment: includes outdoor environment, inclement weather, smoky conditions related to prescribed fire, characterized cold and heat, frequent winds, and insects:
- Work in hazardous conditions (i.e. raw sewage, chemicals, garbage, hypodermic needles, rodents, broken glass, driving on loose gravel and off road, operate vehicles off road and equipment, etc.)
- Work environment may expose incumbent to noise, dust, fumes, hot and cold temperatures, and unpleasant odors
- Work at elevated heights, on or near machinery and heavy equipment or traffic
- Ability to perform strenuous manual labor (i.e. digging trenching, boring, lifting, carrying, loading etc.)
- Requires repetitive movements of heavy objects
- Ability to walk across uneven terrain, loose gravel in both uphill and downhill conditions to perform the duties of the job
- Stand for long periods of time, (in excess of 2 hours) to perform the duties associated with the job.
