Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs complex analytical work to protect public health and the environment by fostering sustainable pest management (SPM) practices. The focus of the work is on contract and grant administration. The AGPA will also perform duties related to graphic design and evaluation of online outreach and education resources; planning, supporting, and engaging in education and outreach activities intended to promote applicant/user/public awareness or participation; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulatory compliance and other Information Technology Branch (ITB) priorities; and administrative tasks for the Integrated Pest Management Branch (IPM) including personnel coordination, budget, administrative tracking/recordkeeping, and consultative services to Branch management. The AGPA makes Program-level recommendations and provides advice to staff and management. The AGPA will also consider, apply, and demonstrate DPR’s organizational values of Accountability, Integrity, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement when carrying out the department’s mission and vision.

Working Conditions
- The employee will primarily work in an office building in a climate-controlled environment and under artificial lighting.
- The employee may be required to sit for long periods at a time and must be able to use a computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard for up to 8 hours per day.
- The employee must be able to lift at least 10 pounds.
- Occasional travel, sometimes requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Note: This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
