Under supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent, as part of the CalRecycle Disability Management Unit, will perform responsibilities in the areas of Return-to-Work. Responsibilities include administration and tracking of various disability leave benefits and options, including Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Worker's Compensation, California Family Rights Act (CFRA)/Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave entitlements, Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI), and State Disability Insurance (SDI). The incumbent is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, customer service, and originality in performing the assigned duties and responsibilities.

This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
