Under close supervision of the Health Program Manager I (HPM I) of the Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) Special Projects Unit, the Student Assistant (SA) performs a variety of administrative tasks for the Jail-Based Competency Treatment (JBCT) Programs; Admission, Evaluation, and Stabilization (AES) centers; Early Access to Stabilization Services (EASS) programs, and Diversion and Community-Based Restoration (DCR) programs.

Working Conditions
- DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11 floor high rise building.
- A majority of the essential functions of this position may be performed via telework and/or flexible scheduling in accordance with DSH PD 5338. Although the ability may be granted, incumbent must be available to report to in-person mandated trainings and essential meetings.

The mission of the Department of State Hospitals is to provide evaluation and treatment in a safe and responsible manner, seeking innovation and excellence in hospital operations, across a continuum of care and settings.
