Job Description
As a Senior Systems Engineer with the Department of the Army, you will play a critical role in applying system engineering best practices to test programs across Mobility (Breaching) and Countermobility (Terrain Shaping) armament system programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Utilize strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and delegation skills to interface with customers and stakeholders and lead multi-disciplined engineering teams through establishment and execution of test programs
* Leading and guiding the definition of scope and concept of test programs, establishment of overall program test objectives, and the development of effective Test and Evaluation Strategies
* Managing test program funds, coordination of T and E activities appropriate to each phase and milestone of an acquisition program, and monitoring T and E progress towards program goals and objectives
Requirements
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
* This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
Education and Experience
* Basic Requirement for Engineering: A degree in engineering from an accredited school or completion of coursework in five of the seven areas of engineering science or physics, plus one year of professional experience under supervision and guidance
* Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience providing leadership and direction for integration, development, test and evaluation of major defense acquisition programs using various acquisition pathways
