Job Description:
The selected candidate will provide analyses and evaluations that impact broad policy objectives and program goals. They must apply a thorough knowledge of the substantive nature of the assigned PM programs and their associated problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and evaluate program baselines and provide expert advice to the PEO or PM on required actions.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion, managing business planning functions as well as current and future year budgets.
- Resolve complex problems for which precedents and guidelines may be inadequate.
- Manage programs involving in-depth systematic analysis of varied developmental and production problems, defining major critical areas and proposed alternatives.
Requirements:
- Appointment subject to suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at the Advanced level in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Business travel required up to 10% of the time.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement.
- Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute a written tenure agreement as a condition of employment.
- One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position.
