Job Description
Serve as a Training Developer in the development and validation of course management documents, including Program of Instruction (POI), Course Administrative Data (CAD), and course observations.
Duties
- Integrate knowledge of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) systems approach to training, new instructional technology, and doctrinal and organization changes for CBRN soldiers.
- Monitor instruction conducted by the instructional departments to ensure conformity with current, approved course control documents.
- Develop, administer, and analyze evaluation instruments.
- Prepare written reports identifying problem areas and viable solutions to be used in formulating recommendations to modify course curricula, training material, instructional techniques, etc.
- Keep abreast of developments in the fields of education, training, and automation in order to integrate changes into survey task list course materials, and instructional methods and media.
- Conduct job duty analysis to establish total individual task inventory; coordinating selection of critical individual tasks to produce critical individual task inventory.
- Maintain an audit trail that includes documentation to support the decisions made and actions taken for each phase of the process.
- Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and selected training activities to maintain subject matter knowledge.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Secret Clearance is required for this position.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time away from home station.
Qualifications
The following are the basic requirements for this position:
- One year of specialized experience demonstrating a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction.
- Applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) systems approach to training.
- Evaluating training programs and results.
- Identifying and synchronizing the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) training programs with policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Or
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position.
Or
- A combination of education and experience meeting the qualification requirements.
