Summary You will serve as a EVENT COORDINATOR in the Secretary of the Navy Offices (SECNAV). Responsibilities You will be responsible for developing, planning and executing initiatives and events to enhance the success of the programs and its campaigns. You will determine the logistics and needs for myriad of events in person and virtual, visitors, high-ranking military / civilian officials representing various DOD, DON and other organizations. You will work with protocol specialists in other organizations to coordinate events, schedule and maintain priority of meetings, ranking of visitors and reschedule meetings when necessary. You will design, orders, and oversee production of event materials, including signage, displays, and giveaways. You will develop a strategy to tracks and maintain budget documentation and prepares performance metrics using recognized DON and internally developed quantitative and qualitative metrics tools. You will coordinate contract requirements, modifications, and renewals, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of documentation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-9 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Experience assisting with planning and coordinating (e.g. Meetings, conferences, social engagements, awards or other ceremonies, distinguished visitors, foreign visitors, etc.) an organization's events (e.g., conferences, courses, workshops, roundtables, official ceremonies) in compliance with stated agency policies and procedures. Experience with the level of rank and standing in the military and civilian communities. Experience assisting with preparing written documents, presentations, and materials. Experience using office automation tools such as MS Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel. For GS-11 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
