What are the responsibilities and job description for the administrative/technical specialist position at Department of The Navy?
You will serve as a Task Order Manager/Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with authority delegated by the NUWC Division, Keyport Contracting Officer. Your duties will include monitoring and administering tasks awarded against multi-million dollar engineering and technical support service contracts.
You will provide proper and appropriate oversight of Contractor performance and contract execution to ensure financial and technical compliance with the contract terms and conditions.
Maintaining required documentation to support monitoring Contractor performance, including monthly status reports, formal correspondence, invoice substantiation, contract data deliverables, and Technical Instructions Letters, as required.
You will plan, lead, coordinate for, and complete necessary actions to ensure that follow-on contract vehicles are in-place in time to prevent a lapse in contractor support/services.
Analyzing, evaluating, and driving improvement in contractor performance by identifying issues proactively.
Developing a routine communication plan and requirements with the Technical Advisors/Quality Assurance Evaluators to assess contractor performance and the quality of the work, and to provide necessary feedback to the contractor.
Participating in strategic meetings collaborating with department leadership across the command giving expert advisement and solutions for appropriate contractor support services.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
Qualifications:
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing, analyzing, or administering contracting strategies, policies, processes, or systems to ensure program goals are met.
Salary: The estimated salary for this position is around $123,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on the location and other factors.
