DutiesYou will manage all Naval issues within and outside the NAVSUP organization related to petroleum chemistry, quality, and alternative fuels issues including energy logistics and futures.You will plan, direct, and supervise a diverse staff of petroleum chemists and contractor consultants as the Command focal point for all programs regarding areas of chemistry and quality.You will provide oversight and direction to petroleum chemists in support of Naval Fuels and Lubricants CFT technical committee annual strategic plan to include all In-Service Engineering (ISE) supply / logistics efforts.You will serve as the technical lead on any current and future Navy driven Petroleum Energy Programs.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Provide expertise and guidance to organizational officials in development of all policies affecting Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL); 2) Develop long-range plans and coordinate with high-level personnel in other organizations such as Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy, other military services, and Combatant Commanders to establish policies, priorities, and procedures specific to POL quality issues; 3) Manage, direct, lead, and / or supervise department efforts covering POL quality issues for ashore and afloat Naval assets. 4) Provide a mastery of POL quality / chemistry logistics and management principles, practices, and methodologies to accomplish overall POL supply chain management specific to POL quality issues.
