What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST position at Department of Toxic Substances Control?
As an Associate Governmental Program Analyst you will have the opportunity to:
- Prepare and maintain annual operational budget for assigned divisions and programs
- Act as a budget coordinator responsible for tracking, monitoring, and analyzing personal services and operating expense and equipment expenditures, and expenditure patterns of assigned divisions and programs
- Ensure programs are spending within their allotments
- Review and approve various fiscal requests including but not limited to Requests for Funding, contract requests, grant requests, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders
- Ensure that funding is available within the program’s allocation to carry out these requests; that coding information matches programmatic allocations; that internal control processes are met; that proper documentation supports requests; and that packets are thorough and complete for upper management and executive review/approval
- In coordination with the Budget Development Unit (BDU), develop, write, and review budget change proposals (BCPs) and coordinate with program to ensure accuracy of requests
- Strong analytical skills
