What are the responsibilities and job description for the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II position at Department of Toxic Substances Control?
As an Information Technology Specialist II you will have the opportunity to:
- Serve as a Solutions Architect responsible for the development, implementation, configuration, operations, optimization and securing of the department's applications
- Provide technical leadership and support on the most complex technology projects, problems, and technical integrations
- Contribute to application scaling, configuration, optimization, lifecycle management with application and development teams
- Perform subject matter expert level technical review and analysis of DTSC information technology systems to ensure applicable enterprise infrastructure policies and standards are adhered to
- Serve as mentor to assist staff in advanced technical development tasks and integration issues, works closely with the project management officer, performs project management activities and takes the lead in IT analysis and coordination activities
- Work independently and as part of a team to perform system and database support and maintenance services
- 5 years working experience as the technical lead on complex, large-scale IT projects preferred
- Proficiency in designing and implementing Saas- based solutions such as ServiceNow , Salesforce, or similar platforms
- In-depth knowledge of various types of cloud platforms
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance best practice in Saas environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to adapt to changing business needs
- Work well with cross-functional and remote teams
- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Experience leading software development project teams
- Experience working with vendors/contractors to procure and implement software solutions
