A day in the life:
- Support the successful implementation of DMV’s projects, state and federal legislation implementations, business architecture improvements and other business initiatives.
- Facilitate the planning, initiation and prioritization of DMV’s biennial portfolio of projects.
- Procure and manage the quality assurance vendors as required for major projects.
- Ensure that we have the necessary procedures and tools to complete projects, improvements and initiatives effectively.
- Manage the Systems and Planning section with multiple staff and responsibilities.
- Parter with our staff to develop and mature policies and procedures within established division governance frameworks.
- Provide plans and status updates to DMV and ODOT.
- Coordinate bimonthly DMV User Council and special meetings.
- Develop and review project plans, estimates and deliverables.
- Prepare biennial and annual budget estimates.
- Hybrid work options available 2-3 days per week with in-office work required during legislative sessions.

Minimum qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience;
OR
Three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

- Experience managing and leading virtual teams.
- Proven experience with mentoring, managing, and overseeing the work of assigned project managers, leads, subject matter experts and other staff on projects.
- Familiarity with state government and motor vehicle programs is desired.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, especially when it comes to public speaking, conflict resolution, and resource negotiation.
