DutiesAs a Supervisory Transportation Industry Analyst, you will : Oversee the Port Development & Intermodal Planning Program, instructed to improve the state of good repair, capacity, and efficiency of port infrastructure in the United States.Provide support to the public and private sector to relieve congestion on America’s surface transportation system through more efficient use of America's waterways as well as expanding opportunities for the U S flag fleet and U S. shipyards and expanding Job opportunities for U.S mariners.Provide direction to a variety of domestic and international projects related to the programs administered by the Office of Ports & Waterways Planning. As the Supervisor, you will gain knowledge with the Office leverages rulemaking program, research initiatives and specific marine highway grants.The ideal candidate is an individual with knowledge of maritime affairs, including commercial logistics and transportation, port development, and intermodal transportation capabilities such as intermodal connections, terminals, and distribution networks for the reduction of traffic congestion. Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for consideration.Direct Hire Authority will also be used to fill this position.Required documents must be submitted by the closing date.Submit application and resume online by 11 : 59 PM EST on the closing date.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT : SELECTIVE SERVICE : Males born after 12 / 31 / 1959 must be registered for the Selective Service.GOVERNMENT TRAVEL CARD : This position involves travel.  A government contractor-issued travel card will be issued and must be retained for official business only.TELEWORK ELIGIBILITY :  This position may be eligible for occasional and / or regularly scheduled telework.  The number of telework days approved will be determined by your immediate supervisor or manager following the agency’s telework policy and guidance.
