Campus Minister - 10th and 11th Grade
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties will be carried out in partnership with departments such as the Theology Department, Instructional Leadership Team, the Deans’ Office, Athletics, and Student Life, to ensure Mission & Ministry programming remains an integral part of DePaul College Prep’s identity:
- 10-month position;
- Oversee Kairos logistics, including retreat center booking, registration, billing, adult & student leader scheduling, Fourth Day, and small faith group development;
- Annually facilitate three Kairos retreats (3 days, 2 nights per retreat);
- Oversee sophomore retreats;
- Collaborate with Mission & Ministry team on freshman retreats;
- Oversee and facilitate annual Vincentian Fest celebration of Vincentian identity;
- Collaborate with team on cultivating Catholic Vincentian identity and core values of Faith, Respect, Excellence, Service & Health throughout the school through prayer, liturgies, activities, social media, and classroom integration;
- Collaborate with teachers as needed, especially the Theology teaching team;
- Collaborate with Director on peer leadership program (11th/12th graders);
- Collaborate with Director on reconciliation services and Stations of the Cross during Lent;
- Responsible for general supervision responsibilities as determined by school needs, such as morning door or lunchroom duty, occasional field trips, assemblies, etc.
The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with passion and enthusiasm for engaging teens with spiritual formation. An organized networker with a communal mindset, the candidate is a relationship builder who meets their students wherever they are on the spectrum of religious practice and spiritual belief.

- Mature yet delights in teen interactions;
- Comfortable and confident with forming organic, friendly relationships with students;
- Remain calm amid diverse teen group dynamics; can ‘read a room’ and possesses aptitude for gentle group management;
- Possess sound instincts for responding to challenging teen behaviors; when confronted with conduct violations, responds with a socially restorative approach;
- Maintain appropriate emotional boundaries;
- Maintain firm but kind interactions with students, including accountability for rules and structures;
- Approach challenges with a posture of inquiry and a problem-solving mindset;
- Patient and compassionate with school families;
- Strong communication skills;
- Organized in planning and execution of programming yet nimble when situations require redirection
Qualifications:
BA oe MA degree in Theology or related religious studies or significant ministry experience
Experience with student retreat planning and implementation, especially Kairos
Experience with social media outlets and tools, mainly Instagram
