The Religion Teacher serves an important role as a spiritual leader and facilitator for our Catholic school community therefore, s/he must be practicing Catholic, who is qualified to teach religion, has a deep knowledge of doctrine and lives as an authentic witness to the faith. This position is tasked with ensuring a welcoming and dynamic culture reflective of both the school’s Catholic identity and commitment to serve students of all faiths.
A DPCR Religion Teacher is Catholic, supports a Catholic atmosphere which accelerates each student's academic, artistic, social and emotional achievement in alignment with the school's mission educational philosophies, policies, and procedures.

- Planning skills-based lessons. The ability to prepare and implement integrated lesson and unit plans that lead to student mastery of standards to include writing instruction of essays and the research paper writing process.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Communicating progress with parents and students. Making data-driven instructional decisions to impact student achievement.
- Assessing students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students.
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity in Theology, Discipleship in Church Ministry or other related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- A practicing Catholic with educational experience in Catholic Schools or a practicing Catholic with other Church-related ministries.
- State Department of Education licensure in content area
- Valid driver’s license; must be insurable with good driving record
Salary : $42,000 - $49,000
