What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Financial Aid Administrator position at DePaul Talent Acquisition?
30 hours per week. 4 days working, 1 day onsite (Monday or Tuesday). 3 days working from home.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for effectively managing application processing, comparing changes in application data, verification procedures, award program information, and supporting other processes associated with the duties of the Verification team and Operations.
- Work with closely with Operations teams to review and resolve student eligibility issues. Develop and incorporate new regulations into the processes as needed. Communicate with student and possible outside parties to resolve student eligibility issues and verification.
- Assists with responding to student emails and case management for FA Operations and cross teams in OFA. Researches, resolves and effectively communicates responses to students.
- Coordinate effective delivery of FA funds to students. Supports reconciliation of federal, state and/or external loan and grant program (crossing up to three fiscal years at a time) in compliance with all regulations governing those programs.
- Participation in the administration of federal, state, institutional and private aid with aggregate dollars of programs involved exceed $500 million annually.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Familiarity with student aid programs and student processes required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with federal or state financial aid programs and administration preferred.
- Capacity to embrace change and willingness to be flexible in work hours.
- Capacity to work independently, effectively, and under pressure during peak processing.
- Demonstrated communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Occasional extended hours and/or weekend work required, depending on volume and demand.
- Capacity of spend periods of time either sitting or standing.
- Capacity to spend extensive time viewing monitors.
