The Highlights :
Reporting to the Associate Director, Technical Communications in the Digital Marketing and Technology team, Technical Communications Specialist manages all aspects of the Deliver tool within Slate and is responsible for population rules / segmentation, queries, message setup and reporting across multiple communication channels with a primary focus on the graduate population. This highly collaborative position works with colleagues in Enrollment Management, admissions offices, and student service departments to develop and execute both standard communication plans and ad-hoc communications for incoming students. This position supports the Associate Director in serving as the department experts on the Deliver tool and is the go-to for developing and deploying messages from Slate with a focus on graduate, but supporting in the undergraduate space as needed. They also collaborate and train others on the effective use of the tool and communication deployment, and are responsible for reporting and data requests for Deliver data.
What You'll Do :
- Slate Communications Configuration and Deployment- Manage all planned and ad-hoc messaging for primarily graduate recruitment through the Slate Deliver tool. This includes partnering with colleagues in Enrollment Management, admissions offices, and student service departments on email template design and deployment, SMS deployment, and other prospective student outreach efforts. This also includes building all necessary queries, populations / segmentation, message coding logic (liquid markup, UTM, etc.) and message editing (HTM / CSS) in order to successfully deploy communications to their intended recipients. Support in the undergraduate space as needed.
- Communications Reporting - Manage and develop all standard and ad-hoc reports to determine ROI and other performance metrics across all planned and ad-hoc messaging. Collaborate with partners in Enrollment Management, IRMA, and colleges to determine new measurements and communication reporting needs.
- General Slate Configuration - In conjunction with Digital Marketing and User Experience colleagues serve as a Slate admin, pro- actively answering and solving Slate system issues. Maintain general Slate administrative tool knowledge across all modules of Slate in order to assist with special projects and maintenance across Slate.
- Help to manage and coordinate the day to day workload activities of student staff members.
What You'll Need :
The anticipated hiring range for this position is : $42,679.00 to $55,000.00 per year.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
