shifts, Sat-Sun) Reports to : Shift Supervisor Location : Richmond, TX Benefits eligible : Robust benefits package, Generous PTO, Matching Retirement Position Description : The Behavior Support Specialists are the front-line workers in residential services, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the milieu.
The Behavior Support Specialist is accountable, under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor, for the safety and well-being of the children and youth assigned to their care.
Required Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age. Certification in First Aid and CPR (May be obtained upon hire) Must participate in behavior management and physical restraint training once hired.
Preferred Qualifications : Relevant experience working with children and adolescents. Bachelor’s degree in a human or social service-related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of residential service safety practices and protocols for children and adolescents.
Flexibility and resourcefulness in dealing with new problems and changing circumstances. Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and workforce.
Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.
