Personal Care Worker (PCW)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve, including individuals with autism, seniors, and those requiring direct support. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of caregiving tasks aimed at promoting independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being.
• Monitor the health and safety of clients, reporting any changes in condition or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
• Experience in senior care or patient monitoring is highly valued.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to lifting and supporting clients.
• Knowledge of direct support practices is beneficial.
• A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
