Job Duties

This position serves the following campus as shared services. Piedmont is a Geriatric Hospital located in the state of Virginia. It is a Virginia state Mental Health Facility solely dedicated to evaluation and treatment of persons over the age of 65, and older adults. The goal of care is to facilitate discharge to a less restrictive setting by assisting patients to improve and/or maintain their physical, mental, and social functioning.


The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR) promotes self-recovery and self-determination of committed population. All contact between staff and residents are deemed therapeutic.

This position provides a central point of contact for operation of all security doors, gates, pipe chase doors, and office doors. This includes preventative maintenance on all doors and locks throughout the facility. This position will also serve on the Security Systems team to help troubleshoot issues with door controls and door positioning switches. Assist with repair of locks.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with a diverse array of information technology, software, and hardware
  • Experience with door locks, both electronic and physical.
  • Experience with Security Systems software
  • Extensive experience in networking and fiber optics
  • Extensive experience of Computer hardware and software


Additional Considerations

  • Experience working in a medical or medical related setting, corrections or corrections related setting preferred
