Job Duties
This position will also be responsible for repackaging using the Auto-Print machine; operating the PacMed to repackage medications for the Robot-Rx; performing the operations of the ADCs (including restocking, reconciling, troubleshooting, tracking/removal of expired medications); process claims for Medicare Part-D patients; and all duties necessary to maintain and reconcile the after hours pharmacy night cabinets (Omnicell ADCs).

Minimum Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Extensive previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or retail setting
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) as recognized by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
- Must be registered with the VaBOP as a pharmacy technician
- Must be willing to obtain 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years
- Familiarity with the generic and trade names of drugs
- Ability to read and interpret prescriber's medication orders
- Ability to work in an environment requiring both speed and accuracy
- Good typing skills and familiarity with medical terminology
- Technicians need to be team players and need to be self-motivated
- Ability to communicate with other healthcare professionals and project confidence and good will
