- Direct supervision of the Community Outreach Distribution and Education (CODES) Team Manager and the Condom Contracts Coordinator.
- Salesforce Administration :
- Maintain existing workflows, design and assist with implementing new functions / features, provide technical support to end-users both internally at DOHMH and externally to community partners.
- Analyze trends in safer-sex product ordering.
- Evaluate the program’s ability to reach designated priority populations in their targeted distribution of safer sex products.
- Supervise the provision and coordination of technical assistance, as required, for the Enhanced Distribution of Safer Sex Products Among Communities Disproportionately Impacted by HIV in New York City (CON) contracts.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Public Health Solutions and / or other entities as required to further the goals of funded Condom Contractor (CON) activities.
- Supervise the coordination of the NYCAP outreach, education, and distribution services.
- Work closely with HIV Preventions Monitoring and Evaluation team to provide data support for the CON contracts.
- As requested, give scientific presentations related to the trends in the uptake of safer-sex products and the public health implications of these trends.
- Work with the Director of NYCAP to identify the most impactful prevention strategies to combat HIV and other STIs.
- Provide technical assistance / training / information related to NYCAP’s condom distribution program to health departments and community-based organizations.
- As requested, represent NYCAP at relevant internal and external meetings and special events to provide up-to-date program data and relevant findings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Public Health program experience.
- Experience using Pentaho.
- Working knowledge of SAS and R.
- Experience with project management and the ability to prioritize, manage and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and function effectively both independently and on teams.
- Experience with study design, statistical analyses and / or data management in public health or social science programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent technical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with end-users and managers of operational programs as well as technical staff and direct multidisciplinary project teams.
- The ability to work effectively with a diverse staff of scientists, clinicians, program managers and service providers within the DOHMH and at external agencies.

We are seeking to hire a Deputy Director, Condom Program, Bureau of HIV / AIDS Prevention and Control / HIV / AIDS Prevention. The NYC Condom Availability Program (NYCAP) works toward improving the accessibility, availability and acceptability of safer sex products for all sexually active residents of New York City. The program works to accomplish these goals by : providing male condoms and other safer sex products to traditional and non-traditional venues, providing Condom 101 trainings and presentations at health departments, social service organizations, and other non-profits, and managing condom distribution contracts across the five boroughs of New York City.
Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To :
Serve as the manager and point person of the NYC Safer Sex Portal, NYCAP’s Salesforce based online product ordering system.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
2. A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity; or
3. A master's degree with specialization in an appropriate field and three years of responsible full-time research experience.
Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
