Description:
Derecktor is looking for a Full time Office/HR Coordinator to join our team in Dania Beach, FL. Candidates should be able to assist multiple departments and all visitors to the company by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
These shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:
HR Operations:
- Maintain employee records in HRIS System
- Respond to employee inquiries and assist with HRIS tasks like PTO, direct deposits, and password resets.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate hiring for non-exempt positions, prescreening, scheduling interviews, and managing onboarding tasks
Employee Engagement:
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, including milestone celebrations, training programs, and company events.
- Support the development and distribution of communications (e.g., newsletters, event flyers).
Compliance and Injury Management:
- Act as the point of contact for worker’s compensation and injury claims, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate filing for personnel, medical, payroll, and compliance documents.
Office Administration:
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with administrative tasks for office staff.
- Manage uniform orders, crew lunches, and meeting/event logistics.
General Support:
- Create, edit, and maintain company documents and reports (e.g., Employee Handbook, policies, and headcount reports).
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Associate or Bachelors in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Operate multi-line phone system
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent reading and comprehension skills.
- Bilingual is a plus
Work Environment Summary:
Applicant may be subject to environmental conditions such as cold, heat, exposure to noise, hazards, and confined spaces/close quarters. Applicant must be able to access all areas of the shipyard and company property including docks in all types of weather conditions.
