Title: PCF Set-Up Operator
Job Summary:
The PCF Setup Operator has the ability to set-up and operate precision cold forming machines.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently in a job shop environment to set-up and operate a number of machines simultaneously.
- Maintain compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications.
- Self-Inspection for Quality of all parts manufactured.
- Seeks out creative ways to continuously improve the products and processes.
- Be able to problem solve various situations using critical thinking methodology in an investigative manner to pinpoint, identify and correct potential issues that lead to non-conformances and production losses.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- The aptitude to set-up and run production, making machine adjustments, and tool settings.
- Ability to use a micrometer, caliper and other measuring devices, magnification equipment and recognize key dimensions.
- Ability to measure high quality parts to print and follow detailed work instructions per our ISO quality systems required.
- Must be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience with multi-die (progressive) cold heading machines is highly desirable.
- Trains co-workers as required.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience setting up and operating cold heading machines.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
