Come join our team! Dermatology Center of North MS, PA Tupelo and Corinth office is growing and looking for Full Time Medical Receptionists. Our priority is to deliver quality dermatology care to informed patients in a comfortable and convenient setting. All of our Physicians and Physician Assistants are board certified and specialize in the latest medical and cosmetic procedures. If you have a passion for working with patients of all ages, are good at greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, managing insurance and billing, providing medical procedural support and working in a fast paced environment, this position is for you. Previous experience in the medical field is preferred. Working at our front desk will give you the opportunity to do lots of different things. It is a mix of answering inquiries and providing information to the general public, visitors, patients, and others interested in the services we provide at the clinic. You will also support the medical staff by completing administrative requirements as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet patients in a polite, helpful manner as they arrive into the facility
- Provide necessary instructions and/or directions
- Answer phones timely and professionally
- Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics. Update patient information, and provide necessary forms for completion
- Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations
- Schedule and reschedule patients' appointments
- Use computer system to generate information necessary for billing, including insurance
- Collect copays or fee for services rendered and any past due/current balances
- Reconcile daily charges and cash, checks and bankcard payments
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
- Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- Must be able to multi-task while on the job
- Must be task-oriented and have good organizational skills
- Must have exceptional customer service and phone etiquette skills
