What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office/Receptionist position at Dermatology Consultants, Inc?
Job Description:
- Provide excellent patient interaction in assisting patients from point of check in to point of departure
- Meet and greet patients upon arrival for their appointment, be familiar with insurances, check demographic information on record, scan appropriate supporting documentation, answer the multiline telephone system, etc.
- Be willing to learn the check out system which includes collecting monies, balancing the day's receipts, selling product, scheduling follow up visits, etc.
- Train on the referral process
- Attend training sessions on topics such as HIPPA, OSHA, ADA/CDC compliance and others
Qualifications:
- Be dependable and reliable
- Be willing and able to multitask - flexibility is key
- Implement critcal thinking and use sound judgment
- Communicate effectively and appropriately
- Have familiarity and be comfortable with computers
- Work with minimal supervision and enjoy a faced paced, team centered environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in protecting personal health information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of health information management is helpful
- Being bilingual is a plus
