Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage their check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the provider's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their care, treatment options, and insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Process necessary documentation for insurance claims and authorizations.
- Provide support to the medical team as needed, including administrative tasks related to patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support functions is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
