Job Summary
Seeking medical receptionist for busy dermatology clinic. Must have great customer service skills and be able to manage schedule and intake of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results to appropriate staff.
- Manage electronic scheduling software.
- Greet visitors in a courteous manner.
- Interview patients to complete documents or forms, such as intake or insurance forms.
- Manage patient wait time and communicate with medical staff.
- Process new patient documentations and review practice policies with patients.
- Update patient demographics with patient for any changes they may have.
- Data entry.
- Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, fax machine, scanner, and a multi-line phone system.
- Maintain fax portal and distribute documents accordingly.
- Compile patient data, record in software and scan patient demographics.
- Use appropriate office equipment to scan and direct patient records into electronic charts.
- Assist in weekly patient encounter form preparation according to schedule.
- Receive payment and record receipts for services.
- Prepare Daily Deposits
- Assist where needed. Majority of responsibilities and duties will be administrative in nature. However, it may also be required to help room patients and chaperone office visits when necessary.
- Understanding of medical insurance billing and benefit verification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
