Machinist / Maintenance Technician –
Location: Davenport Iowa
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (2nd & 3rd Shifts Also Available)

DES Employment Group is now hiring for a Machinist / Maintenance Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturer of precision cutting tools. Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain production machinery and systems
- Perform machinist duties using equipment like lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and technical sketches
- Complete general facility maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, and custodial work
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial equipment
- Support operations with knowledge of PLC systems and HVAC maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Lift and move equipment and tools up to 75 lbs regularly
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with machine maintenance or repair preferred
- Strong mechanical skills including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
- Must be able to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and schematics
- Math proficiency is critical (add, subtract, multiply, divide, use fractions/decimals/percentages)
- Must pass a vision assessment (color, depth, distance, and close vision)
