Job Summary
The Access Control Project Manager will assist the Public Safety Department with oversight and management of security systems (access control, surveillance cameras, etc.) and will perform general administrative and clerical duties. This position will work with the Security Systems Technician and Locksmith to assist with control of physical and electronic access, including hard keys, card access systems, security systems software management, and scheduling.
Essential Functions
Work with the Locksmith and Security Systems Technician on all aspects of access control.
Assist with management and coordination of hard key distribution, key inventory, and related access permissions.
Assist with oversight of electronic access control systems and access, and related access permissions.
Assist with security systems software management.
Assist with coordination and scheduling of access needs for faculty, staff, and events.
Maintain an organized record keeping system for documentation of access points and authorizations.
Serve as liaison with vendors, contractors, and college employees, respond to inquiries, and provide troubleshooting support.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Ability to learn and use computer software (access control, surveillance cameras, etc.).
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail with a focus on security and compliance.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in higher education or public safety setting.
Experience in access control, security systems, or facility management.
Work Schedule
Part-Time: 1250 hours per year or about 24 hours per week
