Job Summary
Design, configure and maintain the campus media needs of students, faculty, staff, and external organizations that may include document cameras, data projectors, classroom control systems, DVD\VCR’s, interactive white boards, and televisions.
Essential Functions
Oversee day-to-day operations of the campus media equipment. This includes providing specialized analysis, evaluation, troubleshooting, technical maintenance, end user training and supporting events in the various conference centers.
Design and implement “one off” visual solutions for staff, faculty, and external organizations.
Provide work direction to temporary employees that support the campus media technology. Assess staffing and training needs for media support personnel.
Implement the technology plan and budget, as well as work with the director to develop the annual equipment budget.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer related field and two years of experience in installation, configuration, and repairing audio visual and computer equipment OR Associate’s degree in electronics or computer related field and a total of four years work experience in installation, configuration, and repairing audiovisual and computer equipment.
Experience installing and configuring media equipment in a educational/classroom environment.
Knowledge of technological developments in the audio visual field.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical material in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to plan, to organize, and to manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Strong communication skills.
