Job Summary
Direct and participate in the implementation of district-wide network operating systems, workstations operating systems and application software that operate in an environment comprised of networked servers and workstations.
Essential Functions
Design and participate in the implementation of district-wide and complex Microsoft systems including applications servers, file shares, domain controllers, security applications and networking applications such as DNS, DHCP, and WINS.
Direct and participate in the implementation of scheduled maintenance and upgrades on district-wide Microsoft systems, including applications servers, file shares, domain controllers and security applications.
Direct and participate in the implementation of district-wide software packaging and deployment for Microsoft workstations.
Direct and participate in the implementation of standard images for all district-wide Microsoft Windows servers and workstations.
Direct and participate in the implementation of security standards district-wide for Microsoft based application servers, file servers, domain controllers and Microsoft Active Directory.
Supervise staff, recommend personnel actions related to hiring, compensation, performance evaluations, training, leaves, discipline, grievances, work schedules and assignments, administers personnel and related policies and procedures per the collective bargaining agreements and the EEO/AA plan.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field and three years of experience in the installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft networking systems including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server including: Two years of experience in managing networking applications such as Microsoft DNS, DHCP or Wins or
An Associates degree in a computer related field with 6 years of experience in the installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft networking systems including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server including: Two years of experience in managing networking applications such as Microsoft DNS, DHCP or Wins.
Ability to effectively create automated processes via scripting or batch programming.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical material in a clear and concise manner.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.
