General Summary:
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors, members, and staff entering the Club. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment, providing exceptional customer service, and performing administrative tasks. The Receptionist will be responsible for managing incoming calls, assisting members with dining/event registrations, creating and printing menus, and assisting Senior Staff and Management as requested.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members, their guests, and employees with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Place all event signage in the appropriate locations for events and direct attendees to their assigned rooms as they arrive.
- Address member inquiries, concerns, and reservation requests promptly and effectively.
- Ensure the Front Desk and Lobby are welcoming and well organized.
- Oversee phone, email, and in-person communication to maintain smooth operations and provide a high level of service.
- Check in with the managers on duty and offer any assistance.
- Resolve conflicts or issues at the front desk and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
- Check coats from members and guests.
- Take to go orders for the 1897 Grille as well as assist members when picking up wine orders that are ordered through management.
- Manages a cash drawer and provides changes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Professional and welcoming to members, guests and coworkers.
- Be a team player to fellow staff.
- Maintain effective communication skills, attention to detail, be driven to go above and beyond to exceed expectations.
- General knowledge of computers and iPad including put not limited to: Microsoft Office, Canva, Outlook, etc.
Work Conditions:
- Hours: Occasional Holidays, Friday evenings, as well as morning/evening shifts on Saturdays & Sundays. 2-3 shifts a weekend with the occasional weekday shifts if needed.
- Interaction with others: Strong interpersonal skills are required as the Receptionist will interact with members, guests, and other country club staff. Must exhibit professionalism, friendliness, and a high level of service always.
- Physical demands: Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Frequent walking and light movement throughout the club’s front areas. Ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
