BASIC FUNCTION:
Diagnose and repair technology problems within area of expertise and assignment. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the technology department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Diagnose and resolve technology issues encountered by computer, audiovisual, telephone, and classroom technology equipment users within the District.
2. Network essentials, and training in or working knowledge of switch configuration, network cabling, fiber termination, P.A. System authorization, large-scale audio/visual systems for auditoriums.
3. Deliver and set up technology including: branding, tagging, and deploying technology equipment obtained by the district for the use by district staff and students.
4. Install cabling, peripheral equipment and/or software as needed.
5. Perform preventative maintenance on technology and telecommunication equipment as appropriate.
6. Prepare, submit and maintain appropriate installation and service documents as determined by the District.
7. Provide information and support to the technology manager of service and support and/or director of technology operations in identifying areas of customer need and distribution of the workload to insure prompt and courteous service to district users.
8. Perform prompt, courteous service to all district technology users.

DAYS: 260 Day Calendar HOURS: 8 Hour Day
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent standing, walking, bending, driving, phone use, computer use. Occasional sitting, reaching/pushing/pulling, climbing/stairs, lifting (75 lbs), and carrying (100 ft).
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mostly indoors with occasional outdoors. Frequent extremes of temperature/humidity.
