Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services (DVHHS), currently has a full-time opening for a Population Health Specialist. DVHHS serves Cottonwood and Jackson Counties. The Population Health Specialist brings the expertise of data analysis to the Public Health Department. This person turns raw data into information and insights that allows the Director, Public Health Strategist and others to help make targeted service decisions around the health of Cottonwood and Jackson county residents.
Minimum qualifications of education and experience for this position: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in statistics, mathematics, business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems or a related field or equivalent related experience and one year of experience related to data analysis. OR Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in statistics, mathematics, business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems or a related field. A valid driver’s license is required.

This position is classified in Grade 13 of the DVHHS Compensation Plan with a salary range of $28.50 - $37.19 per hour, dependent upon the credentials of the successful candidate.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with a full benefit package which includes Public Employee Retirement pension.
In order to ensure the safety of citizens, employees and property, DVHHS has adopted a drug and alcohol testing policy which applies to all candidates being considered for employment with DVHHS. A Drug and Alcohol test must be completed within 24 hours of all contingent verbal offers of employment, unless alternate scheduling arrangements are approved by Human Resources office.
