The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota invites applications for a full-time 9 month faculty position at the Sioux Falls campus in the undergraduate BSN program. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials. Travel between the Sioux Falls and Vermillion campus may be expected.
Responsibilities include classroom and clinical instruction including simulation, laboratory skills, and seminar with an emphasis in public health. The faculty will be responsible for oversight and evaluation of students’ clinical reasoning and clinical performance, assessment and evaluation of student learning, and develop and implement curriculum and course materials.
Required Qualifications The successful candidate will have a current unencumbered license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota, and hold a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background with current experience in public health. Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program or higher education also preferred. The candidate should have the ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning, an ability to work well within a team, and have exceptional written and verbal skills. This position will play a pivotal role in mentoring and educating future nursing professionals.
