JOB IDENTIFICATION
Job Title: Cashier- Mystic Waters, Chippewa Pool and Arndt Park Pool
Grade: II
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Recreation
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Aquatic Manager, Aquatic Supervisor, Assistant Aquatic Manager, Site Specific Pool Manger or Mystic Operations Manager, Groups Coordinator
Supervises: N/A
BASIC FUNCTION
Cashier is responsible for greeting patrons, collecting daily fees and completing all corresponding paperwork carefully and neatly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue correct change, and receipt for all admission or concession sales.
- Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service.
- Inform incoming guests of specific, noticeable rules. For example: no strollers, no food in specific areas, no shoes on deck.
- Responsible for balancing cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Recognize all accepted forms of discounts and proof of residency.
- Answer all guest question and concerns.
- Inform incoming guests of possible closing (at Managers request).
- Mystic Waters–Assist Group Reservations Coordinator with incoming groups, as needed.
- Chippewa Pool and Arndt Park–concession sales and inventory.
- Work as a team with entire staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evening and weekend hours and July 4th.
OTHER DUTIES
- Monitor activity in entry area and parking lot, when needed.
- Assist in an emergency situation as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual
- Assist with emergency facility closing due to weather or other.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Some high school education.
Experience: Money handling experience recommended.
Experience using Point of Sale systems preferred.
18 years of age or older, preferred (min of 16 years)
Certifications: Frist Aid/CPR certification preferred
