What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brewery Driver / Yard Hostler for Deschutes Brewery position at Deschutes Brewery?
Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring for a day shift Yard Hostler Driver! The Yard Hostler Driver primary responsibilities are to support the Packaging and Shipping teams by moving raw materials and packaged product in an efficient, timely and safe manner between the loading dock and our warehouse, located across the street. Pallets then need to be off loaded by forklift and organized properly in the warehouse using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position will assist with preventative maintenance on the tractor trailer and trailer movements between multiple docks. Safety and a sharp eye for detail are top priorities.
Class A CDL is required. The typical schedule for this role is 4-10s from 5am- 3:30pm Tuesday through Friday. Pay starts at $23.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on previous experience, skills and education/certifications. Additional opportunities for wage increases are associated with cross-training, promotional opportunities and OTR (over the road) driving.
