What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Administrator position at Desert Financial Credit Union?

The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing the lifecycle and administration of agreements and contracts including contract preparation and evaluation in compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Contract Administrator owns and manages the Contract Lifecycle Management system, and is responsible for helping to develop and maintain a library of contract clauses. The Contract Administrator collaborates closely with business partners to help them understand potential risks associated with contract changes and in support of contract negotiations.

What you will do here: 

Collaborate with business partners and attorneys to facilitate the drafting, editing, evaluation, negotiation, maintenance, and compliance of various types of contracts, including but not limited to: client, vendor, technology, NDAs, and partnership agreements. Ensure the business understands the terms and risks of agreements.

Own, manage, and administer contracting processes and technology. Participate in the selection and implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software. Utilize CLM software to implement changes and manage contract workflows efficiently and effectively. Support the continuous improvement of contract processes and templates. Develop and deliver reports related to contract activity.

Help establish and maintain a comprehensive library of contract clauses and pre-approved alternative clauses for commonly negotiated terms.

Serve as the liaison between Procurement, Vendor Management, and other internal stakeholders supporting the prioritization of work across the multiple lines of business. Triage contract requests and assignments to the appropriate attorney based on complexity and risk.

Manage the negotiation of low-risk agreements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines. Evaluate contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree required.

4 years of contract management experience required.

Experience working with technology contracts required.

Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, and/or B2B preferred.

Experience managing CLM software and Microsoft Office Suite required.

Experience with designing and managing efficient contract processes required.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal required.

Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of staff and leadership required.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, motivated, self-starter required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
